So, we were slated for “La Vallèe Village” on Day 4, but before we went on a Swiping Spree we decided to start the morning early in the peace and quiet of The Pont Des Arts Bridge or commonly known as The Love Lock Bridge.
This Bridge, now without all of the gazillion locks hanging on its sides was so beautiful and peaceful, like we were part of a children’s story book! Sit at the bench, walk the bridge, watch the sun, enjoy the cool breeze. ☀️
From there we went for a walk on the bridge near to the Ile Saint Louis, again quaint and idyllic overseeing the historic Notre-Dame.

It was then time for lunch and “Pub Kléber” was all things warm and fuzzy!
Starting from friendly staff, a steaming hot cup of cocoa and 2 absolutely filling (both heart and tummy) dishes. Both the risotto and the spaghetti were lovely!
After the peaceful start we were completely charged up for our day at the shopping village – all of the most luxurious brands at the most reasonable prices!

Shopping at the La-Vallée Village is an experience in itself. You can go for the sheer feel and beauty of it even if you don’t buy much and to add the cherry on top it was all decked up for Christmas with trees, lights and a DJ playing Christmas Songs! The small-town Christmas feels, Christmas music, it transports you completely.
But the real fun is in the discounted shopping and the tax refunds (there’s a caveat my friends: The collection is mostly previous seasons and because of discounts, the stuff is just flying off the shelves so choices are a bit limited, nevertheless it is still worth a visit to catch a lucky find or to pick up basic monogrammed items which never go out of style).

We had opted for the VIP services which allowed us less waiting time, additional discounts on selected brands and the ease of not having to carry bags around after shopping. (You can collect it all at the end of the day from the priority lounge)
Pro Tip: Always opt for tax refund via card rather than cash. First, that gives higher amt of refund. Second, it’s quite hassle free as you just need to fill an online form right after shopping and finally scan all the bar codes at the airport.
With hands full of bags and hearts filled with love we called it a day and left the village in merry measure.

By the time we reached hotel we got hungry again (despite burping macarons and chocolates and fries at the village :p) so we dined at Cafe Belloy.
Ordered: gluten-free red sauce rigatoni, onion soup, ravioli, pizza, burger with some ginger ale. But, Cafe Belloy was not such a warm experience because we were accidentally served meat on our pasta while being pure vegetarians. So it was an overall mood dampener because we had to leave immediately after having a small row with the servers.
But since we were on vacation so we didn’t allow it to really bug us out so we joked about the incident and ended our day with dinner at one of the cafes we had already visited and liked.
With that, the sun had set on another fun and instant gratification filled day!
